Founder's Message

I was born in South Carolina, raised in Brooklyn, and reside in Georgia.             

 I entered Adelphi University and later transferred to John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City as a  Criminal Justice Administration and Planning Candidate.

 Assisting people facing life's challenges  has always been my passion.

Never would I imagine my journey within the criminal and social justice arena would encompass incarceration, addiction, behavioral health, and homicide within my immediate family.  However, I concluded that this was the mission of my calling when I said, "Yes, Lord, I'll go" in that McDonald's parking lot years ago.  My foundational scripture is Romans 8:28

"And we know all things that they work together for the good of them who love the Lord and are called according to his purpose."   

This indoctrination has sanctioned my ability to empathize with and advocate for impacted individuals and families on both sides of the justice-involved spectrum.

The Reality of Offenses:

In truth, both offenders and victims coexist within our communities; it may be uncomfortable to some, yet it is a reality.  Statistics indicate the majority of adjudicated felony or incarcerated offenders are not for violent offenses.  It's said some we're afraid of and some we're extremely mad with, there is a big difference.
